Funcoland (stylized as FuncoLand) was a specialty store chain that sold apparel, lifestyle, accessories, and toys aimed to boys ages 6-14 years. Funcoland is owned by EB GameStop

History[]

Funcoland originated as a video game store in 1989, in 1999 EB Games bought Funcoland. In 2005 Funcoland started selling lifestyle, accessories, and toys aimed to boys ages 6-14 years. In 2015, Funcoland stopped selling video games in favor to sell apparel geared towards to the age demographic to compete with stores like Limited Brand's Brothers.

In 2017, after rather slow sales since Funcoland stopped selling video games, EB GameStop decided to sell the Funcoland chain to Dave-Spin Retail Group, as a result of the sale most of the Funcoland stores were forced to close down, but some Funcoland stores were converted into 77 Kids stores.
